My practice is based in Australia and sessions are billed in AUD/USD/EU, with rates accounting for differing economies.
Services are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. Medicare rebates for Australian clients may become available in the future.
All sessions will be held online, via Zoom (with or without video, if you prefer), so you will need a reliable internet connection – that’s a must. 🛜
It’s completely normal to feel nervous. Sharing your struggles with someone new can feel raw and vulnerable. The fear around opening up can be overwhelming, but seeking support is an act of courage—and courage is powerful. You’ve already taken the first step, and together we can expand on that strength.
Psychotherapy is a space where you can fully be yourself, say anything, and let even the shadowy parts shine—including your nervousness. My priority is to create a safe and comfortable environment where we can care for those feelings and help you feel at ease.
If you want to talk about your concerns, feel free to book a discovery call and I’d be glad to walk through this with you.
Take your time to explore my website. If you sense we might be a good fit, you can schedule a discovery call aka a vibe check to get started.
During that call, you can ask me questions about my approach, what a typical session looks like, or anything else specific to your needs. You’ll also have the chance to tell me what’s going on, and together we’ll discuss how I can best support you.
First sessions are a chance to test the waters. You’ll see how it feels to work with me and whether my approach resonates with you. My style won’t be the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay—what matters most is that you find someone who feels right for you. Let’s explore that together.
It’s okay if you’re not ready to share everything. Somatic Experiencing works at your pace. You never have to talk about anything you’re not comfortable with. My role is to create space for you to slowly work through the tough stuff, gradually and on your terms.
If you’re nervous about opening up, we can talk about that too. Whatever is present for you—whether it’s hesitancy, fear, or anything else—we’ll meet it together in session.
I promise you, I won’t think you’re a bad person. Opening up is an act of courage, not condemnation. Many of my clients have had the same fear, and these worries often stem from how our culture makes us feel ashamed for things that are completely human.
Even when we’ve made mistakes, those actions are often rooted in woundedness and don’t define who we are. No baby is born bad. Whatever you’re going through, it’s valid, worthy of care, and will be met with compassion. My role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be heard and supported.
Always. Come hell or high water, your confidentiality is of utmost importance to me. Unless there’s an imminent danger to yourself or someone else, everything you share with me stays between us.
I deeply respect your privacy and value your trust. You can talk about anything without fear of that information leaving our sessions. If you have questions about how confidentiality works, feel free to ask during a discovery call or anytime during our work together.
You might be asking this because you’re worried the process will feel overwhelming or endless. If that’s the case, know that many clients start to feel relief after just a few sessions, often noticing a sense of calm and a renewed sense of hope.
The total duration varies depending on your needs. Some clients find that 6-12 weeks is enough to address immediate challenges, while others benefit from longer-term support. And, of course, I welcome established clients to drop in just when they need support in various seasons of their lives. We’ll work together to figure out the timeline that feels right for you.
The first session is a free-flowing conversation where we begin to get to know each other. You’ll have the chance to share more about yourself, and I’ll ask questions like:
- What brought you here?
- What’s present for you in your life right now?
- What do I need to know to understand your current challenges?
You can also ask me questions about my experience or how future sessions will work. The main goal of the first session is for you to see if I feel like a good fit. If you feel safe, accepted, and comfortable with me, we can discuss continuing our work together.
